Socializing and alcohol are often integral parts of the college Greek experience, but they don't have to be negative parts of it. This interactive workshop educates student led Greek organizations about making lifestyle decisions that don’t compromise the integrity of their organization or their personal values. They will gain powerful life skills to use whenever they see unhealthy or negative behavior amongst their peers, during Greek events and in daily campus life. During this highly energetic and interactive session, Tawan tackles the tough subjects.

Furthermore, many students are never prepared to face the inevitable challenges that every college experience brings. This two-part program will provide information that will lay the foundation before applying to college, and will help pre-college students prepare for the potential academic, financial and social obstacles that prevent college enrollment.

The biggest challenge of every first year college student is successfully transitioning into their new environment. Often riddled and overwhelmed students struggle during their first year because they don’t know how to navigate their new environment or where to begin. Unfortunately, this leads to poor academic performance or student retention issues.

This program is the blueprint for helping students find success beginning day one of their first year of college. This program’s information is a great supplement to any orientation program because it is concise, memorable and gets straight to the point of what students need to know to win and thrive during their first year.

During the junior year most college students are faced with making major decisions, which will determine the type of person they want to be and their role in society. However, when it comes to choosing their major, what major classes are most beneficial, deciding career or grad school, a lot of students don’t know where to start. As a result, these students often choose a major that isn’t right for them or make decisions based on timing (i.e., I want to graduate next Spring) instead of making an educated and supported decision. This program is designed to assist students in discovering the game plan that works for them as well as to help them navigate the transition from college undergraduate to college graduate and beyond.

Things that signal the need for change often pop up in student Greek organizations. Fraternities and sororities can lose sight of their objectives, become plagued with internal issues, begin to operate dysfunctionally or simply be faced with challenging projects that test their resolve.

Even then, changing the culture of your fraternity or sorority can be a difficult task when organizational norms have been in effect for years. Moving your Greek organization in new directions requires student leadership with forethought, knowledge, and careful consideration of the needs of everyone in the organization. It sometimes sounds impossible, but it can be done.
