Finding Your Purpose and Destiny

This workshop teaches youth how to take hold of their own personal growth and be who they are from the inside out. It speaks to the heart of students. Participants are challenged to increase their focus and clarity on how they want to behave in the world and how to align their behavior with their thoughts and words. At the end of the highly interactive workshop, participants will leave with a renewed sense of identity, purpose, inspiration, and self direction.

Success in College: Laying the Foundation for a Healthy College Life

College is the place to start a program of self-care and well-being and lay the foundation for a healthy life according to Self-Care Specialist, Felicia Harlow. Is this program, Felicia focuses on defining what a successful life is – on your own terms – and identifying the habits of self-care that will get you from here to there. Students will learn to define success and how to manage the juggling act of balancing study, dating, partying and preparing themselves for life beyond college. Felicia focuses on making good decisions that will build the foundation of a balanced and healthy future – starting NOW!

Take a Deep Breath…and Relax

Does work stress you out? That’s a rhetorical question because working in Student Life can be exciting yet often stressful. This program works well for both students and advisors. Come learn ways to relax and rejuvenate that are completely healthy and stimulant-free. Topics include nutrition, sleep needs, and exercise tips, all based on brain-based learning models. You’ll learn to breathe and learn a technique that combines slow, graceful movements and special breathing to boost our “Vital Energy.” Based on the teachings of Qigong (pronounced “Chee-gong”), it only takes minutes each day to do and the benefits are profound: enhanced whole body circulation; accelerated metabolism; weight loss; better energy; bolstered immune system; enhanced mental acuity, focus, and concentration; and the list goes on. The Chinese have known about the healing and regenerative power of Qigong for thousands of years as it helps us to calm down, relax, and become more peaceful.
