A/V and Room Setup Requirements

When Dayna Steele comes to your campus…

SOUND CHECK: Dayna arrives to the event room about one hour before the presentation for A/V check. It is requested that someone be present for this sound check and during the first five minutes of the presentation to double check that things are working properly.

MICROPHONE: Dayna appreciates a wireless clip-on/lapel microphone (especially for keynotes and large rooms). If possible, have a wireless handheld microphone available for back up. As a last resort a corded microphone with at least 50 feet of cord and a microphone stand works. Dayna does not use a headset microphone. PLEASE NOTE: Dayna does not use a podium (she is short, not difficult!)

SCREEN & PROJECTOR: Please provide an LCD Projector for use with laptop and PowerPoint slide presentation and a screen large enough for all to see in the room. (A wall is fine as well.) No speakers are needed.

COMPUTER: Dayna brings her laptop computer and remote. Her presentation is also available in advance or on a flash drive.

LIGHTING: Please make sure that the stage and the audience are well lit.

WORKSHOP ROOM SETUP: White board or flip chart with markers, six foot table and one chair at the front of room. Seating classroom style, horse shoe style or u-shape based on the room and projected audience. There should be enough room for interactive activities.

KEYNOTE ROOM SETUP: Please sit audience directly in front of the speaker. If using an auditorium, an extremely well lit, open and empty stage is preferred. If using a gymnasium or meeting room without a stage please provide a stage or riser in front of the audience so the speaker can be seen. If using a gymnasium, please seat the audience on one side only, with the remainder of the audience on the gym floor or in chairs. A six foot table and one chair should be on the stage or riser for the speaker’s materials.

ROOM SETUP NOTE: Dayna likes to go out into the audience and move among the participants. This information could be helpful to your sound engineer to prevent feedback from the speakers.

WATER: Two (2) bottles of water should be provided for Dayna at the front of the room. It is also recommended that water be provided for the audience.

HANDOUTS/MATERIALS: If applicable to the program, Dayna brings her own quality handouts and learning materials for the expected audience. Costs for all handouts and materials are included in the program fees.

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS: Additional educational materials are available on request. Discounts are available for large orders. Dayna reserves the right to sell product.

PHOTOGRAPHY, AUDIO OR VIDEO TAPING: The Client is given permission to photograph, audio and/or video tape the performance. The client will send digital copies of such to the Agency and all parties are free to utilize the materials for promotional purposes.
