Healthy Relationships 101

Healthy relationships start with a focus on self-care and well-being. That’s the philosophy of Self-Care Specialist, Felicia Harlow. Is this program, Felicia focuses on positive self image and the positive feelings, thoughts, choices and behaviors that are the foundational ingredients of healthy dating and friendships. Audiences will learn the true meaning of relationships and how to recognize the signs of an unhealthy one. In addition, they’ll learn how spiritual health attracts healthy relationships, come to understand how balanced living contributes to healthy relationships and walk away with quick and easy self care techniques for healthy living in college.

Felicia takes her own self-care centered, “Growth in Motion” approach to create a foundational understanding of what a healthy relationship is and is not and discusses the following points:

  • What is well being? (having a positive self image, feeling good in thoughts, word choices, behaviors)
  • The foundational ingredients of healthy relationships
  • The truth vs. the lies of relationships
  • Exploring the tri-dimensional nature of relationships
  • Signs of unhealthy relationships (force, control, constant disagreements, withdrawal, etc.)
  • How spiritual health attracts healthy relationships
  • How balanced living contributes to healthy relationships
  • Quick and easy self care techniques for healthy living in college
  • Questions to ask yourself about healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • What does ‘feeling good’ with another person rally mean?
  • When your partner is a pest or keeps bothering you
