Getting the right answers to anything and everything you want to learn is simply a matter of asking the right questions. If you don’t ask the right questions in class or study, you won’t get the right answers on the test!

Millicent introduces exercise such as ‘The Never-ending Question Game,’ ‘The 100 Question Game’ and “What, When, Who, How, Where, Why” that encourage students to be ‘active, purposeful and questioning’ as life long learners.

Course Format

90 minute, 1/2 day or full day workshop consisting of powerful interactive exercises designed to help students learn to pose the “right questions” in order to “discover the answers” to most any question.

This course is typically delivered as a full day workshop for either students or staff development. The mini workshop format can be condensed down to a one hour or 90 minute presentation and provides limited elements of the expanded course.

Introduction to Socrates and the Art of Inquiry
Who are you, and what do you want?
How to formulate questions: Who, what, when, why, where, how
Different types of questions: Diagnostic questions, information-seeking questions, challenging questions, action questions, questions on priority and sequence, prediction questions, hypothetical questions, questions of extension, questions of generalization
Check your beliefs and sources
Aim to ask questions that have not been asked before…
